Why Search Before Listing?

Before starting a new listing, search for your product in our database. This helps pre-populate information, such as brand, model, and category, saving you time. Additionally, it contributes to GearTrader’s database of past sales, helping us track gear values over time and creating a reliable resource for buyers and sellers alike.

Filling Out Basic Information

In the Basic Info section, provide key details about your item:

• Brand and Model: Choose from existing options or add a new one.
• Condition: Select a condition that best describes your item, from “Brand New” to “Non-Functioning.” Use our item condition guide for help.
• Category: Select the most relevant category to make your listing easier to find.

Setting a Price

The Set a Price section includes tools to help you price competitively:

• Ask Price: Set your desired price. The buyer fee (2.5%) is added automatically, so the price buyers see includes all fees.
• Accept Offers: Enable the "Make an Offer" option to allow negotiation with potential buyers. You can accept, decline, or counter offers.

Adding Details and Photos

Make your listing stand out with high-quality images and detailed descriptions:

• Photos: Upload up to 25 images. Use your own photos—stock images are not allowed.
• Video: Link to a YouTube video to provide an in-depth look at your item.
• Description: Write a clear and honest description, detailing wear, functionality, and any unique features.

Shipping and Location

Choose Your Shipping Method

GearTrader provides multiple options for handling shipping:

• Local Pickup: Enable this if buyers can pick up the item from your location.
• I Will Ship: Choose from:
  • Free Shipping: Absorb the shipping cost to attract more buyers.
  • GearTrader Shipping: Use our integrated service to calculate shipping costs based on package dimensions and weight.
  • Flat Rate Shipping: Set a fixed cost for shipping.

Providing Dimensions and Weight

If you select GearTrader Shipping, provide accurate dimensions (length, width, height) and weight. This ensures buyers see accurate shipping quotes based on their location.

Integrated Shipping Label Services

Once an item is sold, purchase and print shipping labels directly from GearTrader. Choose from carriers like UPS or FedEx, and select from shipping options such as "UPS Ground" or "UPS Express." This feature saves time and ensures smooth shipping processes.
